NEW RELEASE ALPHA CORE

The installer will install the files into the directory folder.
To start your server a short cut icon will be placed on your desktop,
if not then you can locate the core.exe file here.

C:\World of Warcraft\Core\Core.exe

Once the core starts you will see it starting mysql and httpd
this is for your database and your website.

You have a new config.xml file where you can change the username to your users name to pull back your data from your command center desktop at wiistream.

The website is fully inter-graded into wiistream so every user that joins your server will think its your website because it is you have full access to add videos pictures music backgrounds feeds or information ect.

And all your users who register on your site can login to wiistream to make friends and share. the good news is you can add to your personal website so your users can do more from you. and you also have wiistream that you do not have to worry about developing and you do not have to worry about it not getting developed I work on it every day.

You can login with the users names
USERNAME:Administrator
PASSWORD:Administrator

USERNAME:gamemaster
PASSWORD:gamemaster

USERNAME:player
PASSWORD:player

If you want to make your server public there is guides on this forum topic that will show you how to open ports and check your website if its online.
But if you want your users to login to your server you will need to upload your account table to your real websites database and set your authserver.conf logondatabseinfo to your websites mysql with users name and password.

I do not know if it is just my PC or what because I can create a account on my localhost and not be able to login to wow.

but I can login if i set my authserver.conf to connect to my websites mysql.
Its very strange and I do not understand it yet.

you can change realmlist to logon.wiistream.net and test the core out before you try it.

you can not make a account but can login with the usernames above so only 5 players can login at a time.

you know how to start up task manager on your computer? Start that up make sure you do not have MYSQL running already.. and is your PC 32 BIT do you get any errors? saying your missing some thing?
The server will not start if you have mysql running already on your pc kill that process then try to start your core.
Also i noticed on install I was missing some files. then I installed it again and i had all the files.

I do not know. what your problem is. Check task manager thats my guess. My guess is that you have mysql installed on your PC and its running. all the files are located in
C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\core\

also make sure you install it in that folder or it might not work
Linkage can be the problem. If we are looking for a file that is located here C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\core\file.lnk and you installed the core here D:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\core\file.lnk

have 1x 64 bit PC and notebook 1x 32 bit
Have both your Repack installed. according to your instructions.
when I connect the two could not. (log server not found)

Unfortunately, not too bad for me useful.
I also made Cata repack 4.0.3. So also have little experience.

Ok I am now uploading the new repack. i would delete the repack you downloaded and redownload the same repack the new repack is 89mb I hope it works for you this time.
just remember to install it were your world of warcraft folder is.

my wow folder is default C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft
if you install it some where else just make sure the Core folder is in your world of warcraft folder this is so you can launch wow
This is correct install.
C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\Core
or any where else \World of Warcraft\Core

Do not install it like this
C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\World of Warcraft\Core

Hello I seen on the log in page to change my realm list to 127.0.0.1 I did so and it also tells me to change it in the DB I i see in the core folder db and i've tryed to open it but it fales when i do. what am i doing wrong? also at the top where you posted you say to Copy the WoW.exe and paste it where your world of warcraft Cataclysm version 4.0.6 build 13623 is installed. do you mean copy the core where the wow.exe is or copy the wow.exe to where the core is? and thanks for the help.

you do not have any way to change it unless you have a DB editor like navicat.

Ok My Dummy Guide.

ITs important that all the processes are shutdown if you have mysql install on your pc and it is running then the server will not start the repacks mysql, and it will not work!

You should check also to make sure you have all the files the files are in the pictures.
Server files.

And if you authserver is not working it could be because you are missing a .dll file so lets start the server up so its not invisible and this is how you would do that.

go to the core folder and click the db.exe file make sure its not running in your processes first.

go to the folder Core/server and click authserver.exe and worldserver.exe
If you get a error your missing .dll files and let me know what .dll files the computer says you need and ill make a patch.

im a noob to this whole thing so where do i start to run the server???

Usually when that happens it means you either need to open the realmd/auth database, edit the realmlist table and change the 127.0.0.1 to your IP (run ipconfig in a 'dos' window) or you need to set the IP in authserver.conf or your firewall does not have port 3724 open (least likely but try disabling the FW) ((3724 and 8085 need to be open)) .. hope this helps.

I got it running! It seems Navicat needs to be installed. I wasn't aware, but it seems that the .dll I said I needed above, is actually a file in navicat. Also, is there a way I can make it so my friends can play on the server with me? :)

You need to sign up w/ no-ip.com or dyndns.com for a free account so you have a proper name like bollox.no-ip.org or etc. then put that in your Auth/realmlist table in place of the IP address. Then you have to make sure you have ports 3724 and 8085 forwarded properly to your machine (assuming you are behind a router). You may also have to change the IP's in authserver.conf and worldserver.conf (assuming this repack is using those files) to your machines' IP (ipconfig in 'dos', ifconfig in Loonix).. you may even have to change your hosts file and add
192.168.2.2 bollox-no-ip.org (but with your info ((as a last resort)))

Yes if you want to make it public so others can join your server you will need to have a registration page so the users can register. and you will need to know your IP address.
Then you would want to use a dns server to direct you IP address to a domain name like no-ip.com

If you are direct connect and your internet connection is not on a roughter you can find your IP address from going to the start menu and in the search box type cmd

Then a command prompt box will show up.
and in that box you would type
ipconfig

So see your IP address
if your ip address says 192.168.1.1 or any thing like that if you have 192.168
This means you have a roughter

forgive my spelling and grammar!

Then you will need to login to your roughter and forward ports and point the Main IP to your computers ip address..

Did you read the News Feed about Microsoft c++
The side by side config error

If you installed the microsoft c++ compiler you could compile and build your own authserver.exe and worldserver.exe

from projects like mangos foundation — the free, open source World of Warcraft server (http://getmangos.com)

But this will fix your problem install the Microsoft C++ from the news feed.. and Very good job on the Picture Guide.. Thank you You showed me you installed it perfect. Just missing the c++ compiler.

This is a 32 bit core.
And you should check your task manager to make sure mysql is not running on your pc.

The core starts mysql and the logon server and world server.
It should also be installed in the correct location

the default location it wants to install.
My virus protection is microsoft security essentials and it does not detect any thing.

how ever I installed norton virus protection to test and it says that the logon server has sonar and removes the logonserver I have no clue what that really means the core we are playing on is SKYFIRE MANGOS TRINITY I have all tree cores and I used code from all three to get this core so the crap worked

GM fly on works fine every thing I have tested works.

Please keep telling me the problems you have, and I will keep fixing them.
We should have a base location and stick with it to install.
this would be easier, but I know some of you have windows systems but your harddrive default location might not be C:/

Mine is C:/
Some of you might have D:/ or E:/ and so on.

Just incase you can not see updates on the core and you use this repack here is how you can see updates.

goto your internet explorer Internet Options

Not really! most use rar files or zip. I used a installer to make it look better for one. and for two it would install in the location it was from.
I wanted to make it so it was as simple as it could be for the users who have no clue how to setup a server.

I wish they already knew how to set up a server. then they wouldn't be having problems..

How do I make a registration page?

I have been working on one for you its part of the update repack 2.3 but the web host that is included in the repack is not supporting the flash registration.
The way im tring to get it to work will be like this.

You have the repack its installed and you are public so friends can play on your server. so they go to your website http://yourwebsite.com
but you have the core and your players do not so you login to mywebsite wiistream and you upload some pictures and some songs and you link some youtube videos or upload movies what ever you post a commit what ever you do on my site you do.

The website you have will have a config file that will pull every thing you do from my website so if you upload a background your website will have a new back ground if you upload a photo your website will have your photo if you upload a profile song your website will have a profile song. and your news feed will be like my news feed. your recent activity's will also scroll across your website
Mine says WiiStream and its reading all my friends who accepted me as a friend. recent activity's but yours will show your information.. it will be a network.

Im also going to allow you guys to advertise free on my website whre you can upload a banner and added the location of your website core.swf that is reading your data. this will allow a perfect loop its optional you can have any website you want but if you want to have wiistream as your wow server site then this will be how you can.

No you load navicat and go to accounts and find realmlist and where the ip is 127.0.0.1 you would change your your IP
To make it public
You should check
Go to start button on windows
Go to run or in the serach box type cmd
Now a black command box is up in this box type the command IPCONFIG
look and see what your IP says if its something like 192.168.1.1 you are on a rougher
and you server will not be public unless you login to your rougher and forward ports and set your computers Ip that = to 192.168.1.1 to = to the RealIP address.

If you want to try to login to your rougher best luck to you. I have a belkin so if you guys have a bilken I can show you step by step.

Hey, I have one other question. I am hooking it up for my friends. I made him his account information(Even with him trying one of the preset GM logins it does the same) and it allows him to log in completely but then it shows a screen like this http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/ff102/csmeaux/wowpage.jpg after hitting "Okay" It says "Logging In To Game Server" For about 2 seconds and shuts off and then nothing happens. But the realm works perfectly on my computer. What am I doing wrong? I have tested this on another friends computer to confirm it isn't my other friends computer.

take pictures of your linkys so i can see! can you go to your ipaddress your real IP address that is located here

and copy that IP and paste it in your web brower and go to your website page?
if you can then check at your friends to see if he can see your site.

I went to my realIP poster there, and when I put it into my URL it just went to a blank unconnected page. So I went through and did the same thing as the belkin router config, everything seems to be the same. But still getting the same problem where on the other computer it shows that they connect with the correct info shows realm "4.0.6" and then I hit okay and it says the same thing as before "Logging in to game server" then that part disappears and its still the picture I posted above. So its showing they can log in with the info and connect but not get on the realm. Now I didn't do anything yet with Navicat, I dont know if that has anything to do with it, if so what am I supposed to do with Navicat?(I have only the trial version).

the play wow button isnt gone really.. if you have your wow inside the world of warcraft folder located in c:/ you can still launch it but the button is inside login. so if you login to the core to your cms you would see wow button.

So the new core is supposed to be installed inside the same place as before right? under the original world of warcraft folder? It has it installed in a new place just wanted to make sure what is correct? What would be a good time to catch you on MSN tomorrow? Not sure where you live but I am Central Standard Time. No matter what I do it still says that on my other comp so if possible, if you could take a look at my stuff, and see what I may be missing, and after try to log in from yours, to make sure it' working. I've double checked a lot of things. Not sure what it is. When I get the server up and running I plan on putting a rep banner on my site, for wiistream for all the help you've been giving, since it's been over a week, and you're doing this to help.

reapck get installed at new location delete old new location is C:/World of Warcraft

you can copy your retail World Of Warcraft folder and place the game in new location or you can cut it either way and thats only if you want the core.exe to launch your wow.exe if your login

Lets make this basic as possible, I am new person to wow server making and have 20 years of advanced electronics and Special forces training and programming behind me. i want to set up aprivate wow server for me so and my friends so I can learn everything about making a 100 percent working server. I see a couple of repacks I would like to try but none have real S.O.P. (standard operating procedures for install and operating the software) Is there s easy install and smooth operating instructions along with operating instructions.

private servers are not something that you can really just click install and it works.

I did try to make that for every one where you click install and it dose everything for you.

but if you want to learn everything about private wow server you should learn to like to read.

You will need mysql installed on your PC
you will need microsoft c++ installed on your pc
you will need a way to login to your mysql server with a DB editor

you will need the soruce code of the server
you will need a database for the server.

i would say check out skyfire

if you turn skype off all the way the httpd.exe might work for you skype uses port 80 and the webhost uses port 80.. cant use 2 programs on same port.

go to task manager and shutdown skype and try.

yes i gave you a tool called database manager on the core.exe you can click that and it will start up navicat for you

Then you will want to make a connection to Mysql with the username root and password ascent

then you have full access to your Database..

Got it going so far i like what i see. Great job man you did really good on this pack. Just wondering what type of core is it, is it a trinity core? and is there a way to add more GM commands to it?

Looks like i ran in to a bit of a problem. I used the updater to update the repack from 2.4 to 2.5. well I installed it and restarted my computer after it asked me to. I have my sky shut off and I go and run the core and when it checks for internet im getting the bad internet message again. Did it change ports when you updated it? if o i need the new port number so i can unblock it. The sever was runing fine before i updated it.

Seems im having a bad luck streak :( I got the 2.5 core to open. I noticed you had v2.6out for the core. I download it and run it with no problems. I lunch the core as normal aptche runs The world manager crashes about 5 seconds after it starts to load. whats going on why is it crashing?

found out what it was that was making it crash, a bad file. i had to uninstall and reinstall it but its working now. and the up dtats looks good so far keep up the great work. but i would like to still mow what kind of core it is and if there is a way to add gm commands.

When I run the core(v2.4), I got a bad internet connection error. I have navicat and and want to start the db to look at it. DBON does not work. what is the role wiistream.net. \i do not have on account on it.

I got the db started. But could not start the logon server. I am trying to strart them manually.

If your using a router make sure that ports 3724 , 8085 and 80 are open. turn off skype if you have it. make sure its not running. then go into C:\world of Warcraft\data\enUS\ change this to "Set realmlist 127.0.0.1" if your wanting to us it privately. leave it the same to connect to his server. also if your using it privately you need to change your realm list in your main wow folder found here - C:\program files\World of Warcraft\ data\esUS\ chane this to "Set realmlist 127.0.0.1" then start the core

I made an account and tryed to log in and it doesn't recognize my name or password
but i can log into the on http://127.0.0.1 with it but not in game.:)

I deleted my repack and installed 2.4 upgraded to 2.5 then to 2.6 and tested on my pc every thing works they way it should for me.

Yes, you can edit data a few ways. I like using HeidiSQL to log into the database to make changes. The only problem with the account name edits is that the passwords are hashed.

Can you log in at all? If you can log in as an administrator, you can do a gm command: .account create name password
If you get that line in, you can edit it using the SQL editor or by using other gm commands.

Yes i can log in with the Administrator account I loged in as the admin turned on gm and tryed the command line nothing happened. I also turned gm off and tryed the command line still nothing happened. Nothing came across my chat screen that the account was made. I also tryed making one with HeidiHQL since the passwords are hashed it didnt work.

are you using the authserver.exe that is colored or did you replace it with some other one.

Here is what I did I deleted the whole repack.
downloaded 2.4 upgraded to 2.5 then to 2.6

and it works..

2.4 has mysql problems that will not let incomiing connections for registration
2.5 fixed mysql new authserver.exe
2.6 fixed website registration added a few more commands

I installed 2.4 then installed 2.5 then i installed the 2.6 up date. i went in to the folders and changed what i needed to 127.0.0.1 i then go into Task manger and run it to make sure nothing is blocking the server from running.and I start the core once it's loades, it loads both the authserver.exe and world server. i launch wow.exe and i use- user Administrator pass Administrator I log in, I have 1 character a lvl 85 worgan hunter. i type in .account create myname mypassword then nothing happens. I tryed going to http://127.0.0.1 and registered a account i can log on that sight with it but when i put it into log into the game with it will not work.

If you have Skype turn it off and make sure its not running at all then try running the core.

ya some times it can not pull the data back to the client from the web.
The config.xml file gathers the personal data from that user and reads it to your client.. thats the only file that needs the web.

And my host provider has problems some times.. I have mysql connection problems but i been fixing it.

I kept all the connection open for every user. I have been added the close statement so it gathers the data then close and reopens when its in need..

Its a fun project to work on and i thank you all who uses it and tested it out I hope you like it.

I also added a comment posting section so you can ask questions or post a thought. been fixing the uploads and other stuff..
I would have never seen these problems if it wasn't for you guys,, so I thank you all.

in the core ill add some code to check if connection is good if good continue, if not or else continue with out feed..

I also learned something about the emu why the trade dose not work.. and other things. Blizzard has encrypted a stream and has another stream unecrypted. and 4.0.6 uses 2 streams one old and one new, the new stream is the problem this is why we need to patch our client.
So this is why the NPC are unknown and trade and other issuse do not work.
But what dose work on this repack and dose not work on other repacks is spirit healers guilds partitions barber shops and much more, I have fixed a shit load of crap.

Anyway 2.7 will be released tonight..
The core.exe has been fixed so the bad internet connection crap will stop.
The commands are for GM rank level and higher. no longer do layers have commands on the repack.

You have to set the players access to GM rank.
So much of the database has been fixed. Our database has 4 databases included into it as one.
We have downloaded tree tree repack took his DB
We have took project silvermoonDB and addded it
We have took project skyfireDB and added it
We have took nevermoreftw DB and added it.

Much more will be coming.. Enjoy the release 2.7

Added about 12 new commands
Still have about 100 commands to add and debug.
All commands are stable
Server seems stable our development realm had 20 users online with all GM commands and no crash for 2 hours.

set realmlist to logon.wiistream.net and register a account on your core.exe file or your website.

Making a account for in game still does not work. I still can log on to http://127.0.0.1 with my name and pass but when i try doing it for the game it still does not allow me to login with my name and password. I also went to the woldsever.exe and try "account create myname mypassword" It didnt work. I also loged in on to the Administrator account and tryed making it that way using the command .account create myname mypassword. Again it failed. I dont know why its doing this.

Yes i have other repacks i have one that i am using that i can make accounts with and have my friends playing on it. your seems to be the only one i cant do it with. I also dont have any other computers so there would not be any other way i could test that.

this could be a mysql problem not allow out side connections.
Your username for your database is root
your password is ascent.
And your using localhost as a connection

Change that to the wild card %
Also if your using trinity mangos or skyfire authserver.exe and you can login with other repacks.. just use that.. learn whats making the core work..

All you need is a 3 database.
mysql

and authserver worldserver.
then config your configs..

Like i said I have no problem on my end. and if you have 2.4 then 2.5 then 2.6 then 2.7 your exactly the same set up as me. and it works on my end so it shoudl work on your end.

you might have to bind your IP even in the authserver.. I do not know how your computer is set up.

I'm direct connect no router with 3 Ethernet ports out of my PC to one router that makes my hose wireless.

But my main IP come in my Main PC then i set a dummy IP for my router.. But thats the way I do it..

I would set you up and help you if you need it. I have teamviewer to help..

known issuses with 2.7 upgrade.. it trys to install in a new folder

Im really sorry guys today was a bad day for wiistream.. my host provided really messed up things for my project..

I will be making a fix for the repack. I am moving my host to a more stable service my host provider is just to unstable.

Again im really sorry but right now the repack will not work with the core.exe.

How ever you can still start your server up Manuel

C:/World Of Warcraft/Core/dbon.exe

C:/World Of Warcraft/Core/server/logon/authserver.exe

C:/World Of Warcraft/Core/server/realms/4.0.6/server1/worldserver.exe

This is all you need to run the server.. you can login with the username administrator password administrator.

there are some good websites on here you can use to make other accounts..
I would not use wiistream for the time.. its really messed up right now. like I said Im moving to a new host.
