Game emulation for WoW has been around for a long time, but has any server out really achieved the point of being worthy of the title Blizzlike? I'm sure there are quite a few that come close, but none closer than Mystery-Project.
Mystery-Project has been around for a year now, and its staff and its developers have done everything they can to provide a quality experience worthy of anyone that shares a love for the game. From raids, to intense battle grounds, the quality screams with excellence. Many players have enjoyed the exileration of driving Siege Weapons and vehicles to attack a defending faction across the frozen tundra of Wintergrasp, as well as braving the many fully scripted instances that MP has to offer, including a FULLY scripted Naxxaramus, Ulduar, and Trial of the Crusader: the Beasts of Northrend.
One of the things I feel makes this server the most unique in comparison to other servers is that the developers are focused and dedicated. Of course, any server and staff can claim that, but they have not produced the same results as MP. In short, every aspect the character uses to interact with the game according to their class AND prefered spec (and yes, dual spec is working) has been taken into considerable care to ensure the best experience possible. This means, the players can enjoy quests, raids, and PvP at the highest quality ever provided by any private server emulation.
The goal of Mystery-Project is to provide an enviroment that follows Retail as close as possible, and to allow players to enjoy all of the content that blizz has to offer at a calibur that no other private server has been able to obtain. As a result, our staff maintains an unparalleled private server Customer Support for its players, and our development is nothing short of commited.
The server is running a 3.2.2a emulation dubbed Moonlapse Core, which is Mangos-based but Developed by us. Its hardware includes two dual core Intel Xeon W3520 (Nehalem i7), 12GBs of ram, and a robust bandwith of 1Gbps. All of this is run Linux-based, which has proven itself time and time again to be the most stable platform to host any game. The server location is in Europe, however, even connecting from the United States any trace of lag is hardly noticeable. The community itself currently consists of many people that just plain love the game, the lore and enjoy everything that this particular genre has to offer.
One of the services that MP has to offer for new players is a fully functional Refer-A-Friend System, which increases their experience rate from the current 7x rates to 14x, and adds an extra +10% to all reputation gains. Another service provided is character restoration. This allows a player from any server that does not have rates higher than 20x to restore their own character and play the game in our server, picking up right where they left off. As long as the simple guidelines are followed, all restorations are easily processed even while the player is offline, allowing everything to be done within a timely manner without taking too much of the staffs time to process, and more importantly, without taking up the player's time as well. Restorations are free, and virtually unlimited.
