Hey everyone! After a few posts i've seen around here I thought I would make a list of some of the best XP increasing tools in World of Warcraft. Most of these can be stacked and used to help decrease the amount of time leveling through the game!
This list mostly includes effects and items that aren't season specific and aren't too incredibly rare to come by

**A. Recruit-A-Friend**

* Players linked through the service enjoy 300% XP from quest turn-ins and kills, so long as they are within the required distance of one another.
It would require a bit of cash to start up, especially with a friend but it's the highest boost in the game!
You can also set it up solo as well using multiboxing

**B. Equipping Heirloom Gear**

* If I recall correctly, Heirloom gear can give you a massive boost in power as well as up to 55% increased XP, it can also be used up to cap, though it gets more expensive to upgrade each individual piece the higher you go.
Unfortunately, some of the pieces can only be obtained through special events, such as
Signet of the Third Fleet - Item - World of Warcraft
Or through guild rewards, though it's definitely worth it if you plan to make alts in the future!
Here's a link to all current pieces in the game if you're interested!

**C. Darkmoon Faire!**

* Though the faire only happens once a month, if you can make it it's definitely worth it! Ride the carousel until your “Whee!” buff (10% XP boost for up to one hour) reaches 60 minutes, and play a few games to buy a Darkmoon Top Hat (increases XP by 10% for one hour) for 10 prize tickets.

**D. Elixirs of Ancient Knowledge**

* One of the best items in the game for leveling alts, this potion increases XP by 300% for one hour. It drops from a rare spawn known as Krol the Blade and from rare beasts in Nagrand (WoD). You’ll need to have at least a 90 level alt to farm for these if you want to use them on low-level characters.

As well as a guide if you want to farm them

*update* According to blizzard customer service, the item's lootable was bugged by updates from leigon. It looks like it No longer drops from either of the above listed sources, at least at the moment. They can still be obtained through Winter Veil lootbags though

**E. Potions of Accelerated Learning**

* Another really good item you can use! These potions are only available once you unlock your Garrison in WoD, though they provide another 20% increased Xp gain until level 99!

**F. Elixir of the Rapid Mind**

* probably the most expensive item on this list besides RaF, these usually go for 20K+ Gold on the auction house and only last 15 mins at a time, though they give a 300% experience bonus which can be insane when you turn in quests from the end of an instance. When I use these I'll pop them right before the last boss of a dungeon so that I can get increased up from both quests rewards and the flat Xp bonus you get for completing a dungeon. At early levels, this can just you 10+ levels in one dungeon (I went from 15 to 26 using this at the end of an RFK and turning in all quests)

**G. Enlightenment**

* Finally there’s the monk bonus you can get from completing quests provided from the monk storyline! The buff itself gives you an additional 50% increase to experience when killing monsters and completing quests, there are quests awarded every 10 or so levels, with dailies to allow you to refresh the buff if you want!

* Unfortunately only monks have access to this which might mean it's shippable if you have your heart set on another class!

**H. Rested Bonus**

This Bonus is naturally accumulated by logging off for extended periods of time in the world

From the Wiki:

* One bubble of rested XP (5% of your current level) is earned for every 8 hours spent resting in an inn or city, or for every 32 hours spent logged off in another location. A maximum of 30 bubbles (150% of your current level) may be earned. This means that you can leave your character resting in an inn or capital city for up to 10 days (without gaining experience) before you earn the maximum amount of rest state. A fully-resting character stores up one full level of rest in 160 hours (6.67 days).

* Note that rested bonus is earned relative to the character's current level. Since lower-level characters gain levels more frequently, the rested bonus is generally consumed far more quickly at these levels. For example, a fully-rested level 1 character could easily use up their rest bonus within a few minutes, while a level 85 character's full rest bonus could last for hours of play. The rested bonus can therefore be seen to be more valuable and worthwhile at higher levels.

* The rate of gain of rested bonus, and the maximum amount of rested bonus, are also based on your current level, not the level at which you'll be when your rested bonus is fully consumed. At certain points in the levelling process, the XP requirements for your next level can be as much as double the requirements for your current level -- e.g., it requires about half as many XP to get from level 59 to level 60 as it does to get from level 60 to level 61. If your XP bar is nearly at the end of level 59, and you log out for 10 days, your XP bonus will only stretch about 3/4 of the way through level 60. (Some mods that show your rested bonus through the next level may not take this into account, and give you overly optimistic data.)

* The total amount earned from this is 200% increased Xp, though the bonus is only spent when killing monsters, quests don't seem to work with it. There have also been a few reports that RaF doesn't consume the rested bonus either, though I haven't been able to test yet

Overall, you can get up to a 1245% increased experience bonus if you use everything at level 90, though I wouldn't recommend using everything at once since you'll out level dungeons and content so fast that you'll end up having to abandon quite a bit just to get to the right spot again. Also be careful if you do this in BG's, as it could be considered exploiting if you end up vastly out leveling other players.
